Von Perth fahren wir den Indian Ocean Drive in den Norden zu den Pinnacles und sehen immer wieder einmal im Dunst auf den Indischen Ocean und die weissen Sanddünen….
…Blumenteppiche neben der Strasse…
….und Grass-Trees bis zum Horizont…
…mit ihren seltsamen Formen!
Endlich sind wir mitten in der Wüste der bizarren Pinnacles und einer weissen Düne im Hintergrund….
…und können nur staunen…
….was die Natur in 500 Millionen Jahren hervor gebracht hat!
Immer wieder wechseln die Formen….
…und die Farben…
…und bilden einen extremen Kontrast zum blauen Himmel.
Die gewaltige weisse Wanderdüne…
…welche auf einer Seite bereits etwas bewachsen ist…
…fasziniert uns ebenso…
….wie die endlosen Banksia Wälder.
Es ist nicht die einzige gewaltige Wanderdüne, an welcher wir vorbeikommen…
…und immer wieder warnen uns Schilder vor querenden Kängurus, Emus und Gürteltieren.
Wir nehmen die Warnschilder ernst und schon bald sehen wir Känguruherden welche wie Hasen auf den Wiesen herumhüpfen…
…und sogar noch in der Dämmerung sehen wir die Kängurus am Horizont.
